Terms of use
Last updated 1 November 2026
These terms apply to your use of the Delayd app and service. By creating an account or using Delayd you agree to them. Please also read our privacy policy.
1. Who we are
Delayd is provided by Demersys Technology Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13845074), 135 Drayton Road, Sutton Courtenay, Abingdon-on-Thames, OX14 4HA (“we”, “us”). Contact us at support@delayd.uk.
2. What Delayd does
Delayd shows live information about the train, Tube and DLR journeys you follow and alerts you to delays, cancellations, replacement buses, platform changes and other disruption. Train information comes from National Rail and Tube and DLR information from Transport for London. Delayd is independent and is not provided, endorsed or approved by National Rail, Network Rail, any train operator or Transport for London.
Travel information can be incomplete, late or wrong, and an alert can be delayed or not arrive (for example if your phone is offline or notifications are switched off). Delayd helps you plan, but it is not a guarantee: always check official station information before you travel, and allow for disruption on important journeys.
3. Your account
You need an account to use Delayd. You must give an email address you control and keep your sign-in methods secure. You must be at least 13 years old. You can delete your account in the app at any time.
4. Free version, full version and subscriptions
- Free version: one route, with live times.
- Full version: unlimited routes, the notice board and push alerts, by subscription — £1.99 a month or £19.99 a year (prices may vary by country and are shown in the app before you buy).
- Free trial: new subscribers can try the full version free for 14 days. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your subscription starts and you are charged at the end of the trial.
- Payment and renewal: subscriptions are bought and billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), under their terms. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it renews.
- Cancelling: manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. You keep the full version until the end of the period you have paid for; after that Delayd returns to the free version. Deleting your Delayd account does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds: are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
- Price changes: we will tell you in advance, and the store will ask you before a higher price applies where the law requires.
5. Fair use
Use Delayd only for your own personal travel. Do not copy, scrape, resell or redistribute its data; access the service other than through the genuine app; interfere with or overload the service; or reverse engineer the app except as the law allows. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk.
6. Staying safe
Do not use Delayd in a way that distracts you while walking near platforms, crossing roads or driving. Follow instructions from station staff and official announcements.
7. Changes to Delayd
We keep improving Delayd and may change, add or remove features. If we make a change that significantly reduces what a paid subscription includes, we will tell you in advance, and you can cancel. We may stop providing Delayd altogether, with reasonable notice; the stores' refund policies then apply to any period you have paid for and cannot use.
8. Our responsibility to you
We provide Delayd with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for delays, missed trains, missed connections, travel costs or other losses caused by inaccurate, late or missing travel information or alerts, by the transport networks themselves, or by events outside our reasonable control. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses. If we are found responsible for a loss, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for Delayd in the 12 months before the loss.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will update the date at the top and, if a change is significant, tell you in the app before it applies. If you do not agree, you can stop using Delayd and cancel your subscription.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in the courts where you live. Please contact us first at support@delayd.uk — most problems can be sorted out quickly.
